Our Anicura Dog Spray was made to provide instant relief and long-term benefits for dogs prone to itchy, dry and flaky skin, eczema, canine dermatitis and skin allergies.
This easy-to-use Spray contains 15 natural oils and extracts and works in two ways. Firstly, it instantly breaks the itch/scratch cycle by providing immediate hydration and cooling ingredients such as Peppermint and Eucalyptus. Secondly, the wealth of nutrients in the Spray provides the skin with everything it needs to find its healthy balance again, resulting in stronger, healthier and more resilient skin over time.
Designed to instantly break the itch/scratch cycle
Fine liquid sinks in quickly and provides deep hydration
Full of vitamins and minerals to strengthen the skin over time
Non-greasy and easy to apply on longer for or larger areas
Safe if accidentally ingested
For best results, use together with our Anicura Dog Gel and Dog Shampoo.
How to use
We recommend applying the Spray 3-4 times a day at first (although it will not do any harm if you feel you need to apply more frequently than this). When you start to see an improvement, you can reduce the frequency to 1-2 times a day. When the skin has returned to relative normalcy, you can continue using the Spray a few times a week to keep the skin topped up with moisture and nutrients.
For best results, use together with our Dog Gel.
If your pet is short-haired, just spraying the product on may be enough. You can however use your hands to help massage the product into the skin. If your pet has long or thick fur, we would recommend one of three options. 1) You could spread out the fur a bit, spray as close to the skin as possible and work the product into the skin with your hands. 2) You could also spray the product onto your fingertips and run your hands through the coat along the affected area. 3) You could spray the product onto a brush and work it into the coat that way. Option 2 and 3 are also perfect if your pet is easily started by the spray noise. When using the Spray on the face and around the eyes, we would recommend applying via a cotton pad or your fingertips to allow for a more controlled application. In these cases, you could also use the Gel.
My dog has very long or thick fur - how do I apply the Spray?
You should aim to get the Spray as close to the skin as possible. You can do this by spreading out the fur, spraying the product on and then working it further into the coat and onto the skin with your hands. You could also apply the Spray to your fingertips and run them through your dog's fur. Finally, you could apply the Spray to a brush and work it into your dog’s coat by brushing.
Is it safe if my dog licks the spray?
Yes, our Spray is safe when accidentally ingested. However, we do recommend giving the Spray as much time as possible to be absorbed by the skin and start working its magic. For that reason, if your dog has the tendency to lick the area after applying the Spray, we recommend distracting them for a few minutes with cuddles, food or toys.
How long will it take before I see results?
This is really difficult to say, as every skin is different. Some of our customers will see results after one or just a few applications, for some it may take a couple of weeks. The most important thing is applying frequently and sticking with it. The skin fully renews itself every 28 days, so one would expect a change within this timeframe.
What is the difference between the Spray and Gel?
The Spray is great at stopping the itch/scratch cycle quickly and is easy to use on larger areas or longer fur. It has 15 natural oils and extracts that hydrate and feed the skin a plethora of vitamins and minerals. This increases the skin's strength over time and helps prevent flare ups and skin irritations.
The Gel is designed to soothe sore and inflamed skin. It can be used on broken skin to aid wound healing and is perfect to use on the face and paws, as well as targeted areas on the rest of the body. The cooling gel texture calms irritated skin quickly whilst the omega-rich formula helps nourish the area back to health.
They work very well together, as the Spray sinks quickly into the skin, and once absorbed, the Gel sits nicely on top to protect the skin and promote healing.
Peppermint and Eucalyptus Oils are scientifically toxic to dogs. Yet Anicura proudly boasts about them both being key ingredients in their Dog Spray!? Did no one else read the ingredients before spraying their dogs with it?
Before you say its diluted to such a small amount it won't cause any harm. Let me ask you if you would be fine with traces of lead in a spray for humans?
Store owner replied:
Hi Andy Please be assured our products are safe for Animals. Those ingredients in their pure form are an issue but we dilute so the percentages are low enough that they are safe but still effective. Please do feel free to email if you have any further concern. info@anicura.ie Regards Vicky
My dog stopped itching at night after one use of this spray. Delighted with it.
Chester was so uncomfortable chewing most of the day and night. She made her skin very red and sore. Since using the spray she has improved enormously, she can even sleep through the night without waking up to scratch or nibble at her legs. I have just received the shampoo for her so waiting to see results from that
Very impressive, effective spray. My little Yorkie soon stopped scratching after a few applications of this fine product.
Impressed with the prompt, efficient delivery service, too.
Highly recommended, all round. 🐶👍✴️
Super pleased with this product.
My dog had been chewing at her back and tail and so much fur had come out.
The spray stopped her constant chewing and scratching. I sprayed her only once a day, although the instructions said 3 times a day, & her fur grew back in under 2 weeks which is fabulous.
I was so worried about my poor dog but this spray has sorted her out.
I would definitely recommend this product.
This is great stuff. Finn has a mild song condition that causes patches of scabs and this has cleared them up in just over a week. Nothing else I've tried had worked.
Our Boxer is always chewing and licking her feet and belly. Her belly often has a rash . The Vets said that we should be giving her some tablets that they could prescribe which would need to be given to her for the rest of her life at £100 per month. We don’t believe in putting drugs into our lovely girl unless it is absolutely necessary. I am glad I found this spray, it calms the itching down and after a few days the rash disappears. We all love it and it smells nice too.
Luna has grass and pollen allergies she has been on apoquel for six of her seven years I felt that the tablets alone needed something extra that's when Anicura came in handy. Luna's belly is much better now. Thank you Anicura
Wow thankyou so much for making this gel. The last few years our poor dog gets a itchy sore rash same time each year (possible allergy) after gojng vets last year in desperation to be given antibiotics and gel tho they didn't seem know what it was. Tho syear thought I'd do online research and look for an alternative and found it here. Our dogs sore skin is healed and better in a week, we will still use a few times just to keep skin happy. Thanks again it's a god send!!!! And woof woof woof from our dog!
RAMBO - Is loving this! Months of itching & sore skin from scratching, we've tried steroids, changing his food etc NOTHING worked but this has really soothed his skin & reduced the scratching massively. So pleased with it, magic in a bottle!
My bedlington cocker stuffers really allergies from the grass and heather the spray and the ointment have clear his skin totally! this stuff is great and would highly recommend! he’s stoped licking and scratching too!
I ordered the spray and gel a couple of weeks ago, ordered on the Friday with standard delivery, arrived on the following Monday so really quick service.
I have used it a few times on Roxy, to begin with it appeared to make her skin red, this soon settled.
I received a follow up email from yourselves a couple of days after delivery asking how I was getting on, I mentioned the redness and received a really helpful response from customer support, advising on feeding, flea treatment and the use of the product.
I am really impressed with both the Anicura spry and gel, and in particular the excellent customer service.
Thank you
I started using the cat gel and spray a few months ago and was very impressed with the products. When my old Westie got bad skin I tried the dog gel and spray and this has also improved her condition. It’s better than giving them steroids as the vet would do. I would certainly recommend Anicura.
Excuse my dogs long coat but she is old and crotchety and also deaf and short sighted and also has doggy dementia. Poor old girl 😥😥
My Akita had these hotspots on both sides of his body weeping and losing his fur since using the spray and gel he now has new hair growth After using for 3 days. after months of using other products Can’t rate this highly enough x
We bought it on Tuesday. It arrived Wednesday. We put some on his face and he’s not rubbed it once since. It’s a miracle !!! Wonderful !!!!!!

Hi Bridget So glad Anicura has helped, you could team the Spray up with the Dog Gel. Apply the Spray first this soothes and nourishes the skin then add the Gel over the top this aids healing of the skin. This can be repeated 2-3 times daily Regards Vicky
Unfortunately, I find it difficult to spray - my dog is spooked by the spraying sound!! Next time I will probably get a gel.
Store owner replied:
Hi Mary Try applying the Spray onto hands then onto your Dog or you could preload the Spray onto a cotton pad and apply that way instead. Regards Vicky
Amazing product I always use it daily on my westie’s paws and her skin is perfect. Thank you

Great to hear Ruth. Do you have any before and after pictures you could share with us?
My dog was suffering after been groomed so as a last resort I ordered the gell and spray .it soothed her skin straight away..I actually ordered again so I have it and won't run out

Amazing to hear Anicura has helped. Maybe an allergy to the Shampoo Groomer uses? Regards Vicky
Didn't work or improve anything waste of money for me but that doesn't mean it won't work for your doggie. Give it a try and let your doggie decide. As a natural product it won't cause any harm and that's a good thing for you and your doggie.
