Some essential oils can indeed be harmful when ingested in their pure form by animals (and even by humans), but we use the oils in exactly the right quantities/dilution ratios - this way they are still effective, but totally safe!
For tea tree oil, our product team have advised the % of tea tree oil is 0.5 %.
